Two new athletic training facilities are planned for Frankfort, offering additional options for local athletes and families. Insyde Corner will specialize in baseball and softball training, including batting cages and HitTrax simulators, while Batti Performance will focus on speed, strength, and athletic development for young athletes across multiple sports. Insyde Corner has received Village Board approval, while Batti Performance has received a favorable Plan Commission recommendation.
Updated November 3, 2026.
If you've got kids involved in competitive sports around Frankfort, there are two new businesses worth keeping an eye on.
Insyde Corner and Batti Performance are planning athletic training facilities in Frankfort. Although both focus on helping athletes improve their performance, they offer very different types of training.
Insyde Corner: Baseball and Softball Training
Location: 21800 S. LaGrange Road, Unit B, Frankfort
Insyde Corner is planning a nearly 10,000-square-foot indoor baseball and softball training facility, with an anticipated opening in January 2027.
The facility will feature:
- Seven indoor batting cages
- Two dedicated pitching tunnels
- Three HitTrax baseball and softball simulators
- Individual and team training sessions
- Batting cage rentals and HitTrax leagues
- Birthday parties and other scheduled activities
One of the more interesting features is the HitTrax technology. Rather than simply hitting baseballs into a net, players can use a simulator that tracks their hitting performance and allows them to participate in simulated games.
The facility is intended for athletes ranging from young children just getting started to high school players looking for additional training.
Insyde Corner is owned by Matthew Libs, a Lockport resident with a background in baseball and youth coaching.
The Frankfort Village Board approved the facility on October 19, 2026. The facility will operate by appointment only, with scheduling requirements intended to prevent parking congestion. Competitive tournaments will not be permitted on-site.
Expected opening: January 2027. Specific booking information and pricing have not yet been confirmed.
Batti Performance: Speed, Strength and Athletic Development
Location: 900 Lambrecht Road, Unit 5, Frankfort
Batti Performance takes a different approach.
Instead of concentrating on a particular sport, the company focuses on developing the physical abilities that athletes use across multiple sports, including football, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball and volleyball.
The company offers training programs for athletes ages 8 through 18, organized into three age groups:
- Ages 8–12: Coordination, running mechanics, jumping and basic athletic development.
- Ages 13–15: Strength, acceleration, speed and explosive movement.
- Ages 16–18: Advanced strength, power, conditioning and preparation for higher-level competition.
Training includes athletic assessments to establish individual benchmarks and monitor improvement over time.
The Frankfort location will occupy approximately 2,400 square feet, with private instruction and small-group sessions limited to six athletes.
Founded by Ronnie and Marissa Battiato in 2018, Batti Performance already operates locations in Orland Park, Manteno and Gilbert, Arizona. Frankfort will become its fourth location.
The Frankfort Village Board approved the facility on November 2, 2026, following a unanimous recommendation from the Plan Commission.
Expected opening: November 2026, although an official opening date has not been announced.
Batti is already promoting founding-athlete enrollment for the new location.

Two Different Training Options for Local Athletes
For parents trying to decide which facility might be useful, the distinction is pretty simple.
Insyde Corner is focused on developing baseball and softball skills, providing space for batting practice, pitching instruction and team workouts.
Batti Performance focuses on building speed, strength, coordination and overall athletic ability, regardless of which sport an athlete plays.
Both could provide additional year-round training options for Frankfort families, particularly during the colder months when outdoor practice becomes a little less appealing.
Neither facility has confirmed that it is open for regular operations yet, so families should watch for official opening announcements.
What do you think? Are we seeing enough indoor athletic training opportunities around Frankfort, or are there other sports and activities you'd like to see represented?
